High achievement backed by passion

Ravi Rayasam offers his clients a record of high achievement and a passion for the law backed by more than a decade of litigation experience.   Mr. Rayasam is a graduate of the University of Georgia and Columbia Law School.  Prior to his admission to the State Bar of Georgia, Ravi worked at the Federal Trade Commission and the New York Law Firm of Kronish, Lieb, Weiner and Hellman.  He then joined the Atlanta law firm of King and Spalding as a business litigation associate. 

Serious Criminal Law Experience

Mr. Rayasam transitioned into the field of criminal defense by working as a Public Defender in Fulton County. Mr.Rayasam handled numerous serious criminal cases on charges ranging from DUI, violation of probation, financial tansaction fraud, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, drug possession, business fraud, theft, armed robbery, murder, and other capital crimes. Ravi developed his skills as a trial attorney during this time by sucessfully defending hundreds of criminal cases, including many cases to an acquittal at a jury trial.

Mr. Rayasam opened The Rayasam Firm in 2008 to specialize in providing the highest level of criminal defense for his clients.  Ravi is experienced in all matters relating to criminal defense and has the ability to practice in all of courts of the Metro Atlanta area, including Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton, Gwinnett Counties and the Northern District of Georgia

Experienced in Fulton County courts

After his admission to the State Bar of Georgia, Ravi joined the Atlanta firm of King and Spalding as a business litigation associate. Two years later, he served as a staff attorney with the Fulton County Public Defender's Office. That position led to his role as a senior staff attorney with the Metro Conflict Defender's Office, where he was assigned to the courtrooms of the Honorable Judge Craig Schwall and the Honorable Judge John Goger.

Throughout these pivotal experiences, Ravi honed his skill as a trial attorney, including performing comprehensive investigations, conducting depositions, handling hearings, and drafting pleadings, motions, and other associated documentation for felonies and other criminal charges. He has defended clients in Fulton County Superior Court, Magistrate Court, and Juvenile Court.
